You have multiple options to share your opposition to this project:
California State Parks is currently considering a deeply flawed General Plan Amendment (GPA) Los Angeles State Historic Park (LASHP)that would add a transit land use to the plan for the Los Angeles Aerial Rapid Transit (LA ART) gondola project.
The Draft GPA is now available at https://lastatehistoricparkgpa.com/. Please provide your feedback on the Draft GPA by July 22, 2026.
We have created an Action Network letter writing tool to make it easy! If you’d like additional talking points for your comments, please visit our Public Comment Toolkit or our coalition member's website at https://friendsoflashp.org/comment-on-the-park-plan. Please personalize and customize your comment with your own unique point of view. Why is the park important to you? How would a gondola change your experience of the park?
If you prefer to send comments directly, comments should be emailed to State Parks Staff at lastatehistoricparkgpa@parks.ca.gov. We also recommend cc'ing the email to the State Park and Recreation Commissioners at SPR.Commission@parks.ca.gov and to us at stopthegondola@gmail.com.

Please take a moment today to fill out this survey on the kinds of solutions we really need for Dodger Stadium traffic rather than Frank McCourt’s overpriced and unfunded LA ART gondola, which would do irreversible damage to our neighborhoods and LA State Historic Park!
The Dodger Stadium Transportation Study was commissioned by Councilmember Eunisses Hernandez (CD1). The study is being conducted by the LA Department of Transportation (LADOT), which has released the survey to gather community feedback.
It will take 7 minutes or less of your time. It is extremely important. And by responding, you will also have a chance to win a $50 gift card!
You will be asked questions about your experiences with transportation around Dodger Stadium and the surrounding neighborhoods, roads, and highways. We suggest you answer those questions based on your own experiences and priorities.
At the end you will be asked an open-ended question. We suggest you take the opportunity to point out that the transportation challenges around Dodger Stadium can be solved, but NOT WITH A GONDOLA.
We don’t need a gondola, which will not solve the traffic problems around the stadium, when there are many other options to explore. How about improvements to pedestrian and bicycle access, or dedicated bus lanes after Dodgers games, or an expanded Hollywood Bowl-style park and ride shuttle bus system that would provide event attendees a one-seat ride to and from Dodger Stadium from around Los Angeles County? Or even escalators and stairs up and down the hill to Dodger Stadium?
Please share your ideas. Your feedback will help identify solutions that LADOT will study in an effort to benefit local communities and improve the range of options for accessing Dodger Stadium.
Survey responses are due by Monday, July 13, 2026! The survey is open to everyone, so please share it widely.

Let’s advocate for real transit solutions for our communities, not a billionaire’s boondoggle!
The Elysian Park Master Plan is getting an update, and LA's Department of Recreation and Parks wants your feedback.
Although the proposed gondola to Dodger Stadium doesn't fall within the boundaries of Elysian Park, McCourt's people have long touted the gondola as a way to open up access to Elysian Park. To us, this makes very little sense because the gondola would only take people to the far eastern edge of the Dodger Stadium parking lots, while Elysian Park is a large, sprawling, and hilly park. The gondola would not get anyone close to the main recreation areas in the park. There's also the pesky problem of the lack of a funding plan for the gondola. The proponents have never said how much they would charge folks to ride it to access Elysian Park -- just that it would be free for people going to Dodgers games.
So please take the survey and tell them NO GONDOLA, no way, no how. It would not improve access to Elysian Park!
